Title

Menu from Twain’s Restaurant, Studio City, CA.

Description

Menu from Twain’s Restaurant, a family restaurant located at 12905 Ventura Blvd., Studio City. In the 1950s-1960, this address was a couple of car dealerships (Al Herman’s T-Birdland). By circa 1965, it was a Denny’s franchise with a classic boomerang roof. It was a Denny’s as late as 1972, and probably even later (the Newspapers.com archive of the Van Nuys News and Valley News ends in 1977, and contains no mention of Twain’s). In the original Denny’s building, Twain’s remained open until late 2014, when it closed for “two weeks of renovations” and has not reopened since. According to Roadarch.com, it is slated to become a Sharkey’s Mexican Grill.
